Wortham Gymnasium, Nevada County Training School [graphic]. [193-?]

Negative of the Wortham Gymnasium at the Nevada County Training School in Oak Grove, Nevada County, Arkansas. Sign in front of building says "USA WORK PROGRAM WPA." The gymnasium was built by the Works Progress Administration in about 1934-1935. The Wortham Gymnasium was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1990. The building was named after a local judge, Judge Quay Wortham, who promoted the construction of the school.
